Hope you're having a great summer!

During this latter part of the summer, we have been working on our annual special issue, the Bulldog Survival Guide, which will be distributed this fall when the residence halls open. Not only will it have news that has happened since the summer paper was printed in June, it will also have helpful hints such as how to:

- survive as a freshman

- avoid becoming a career student

- approach the presidential election

- form a campus organization

- do laundry

- find the best dairy products in town

- meet new friends

- get along with your roommate(s)

- and much more.

Meanwhile, we're wishing you a great rest of the summer!

Monday Monday

Good morning!

Tomorrow is Spring Fling presented by Union Board. It will be at the Centennial Plaza from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It's only $5 for a T-shirt and crawfish.

Finally Friday

  • Tech's Paintball Association will host Paintball Against Cancer at 9 a.m. tomorrow. They will be leaving from Nielson Residence Hall. The cost is $30, covering rental gear and $10 to go to the family of Jaydon Singleton to help with the costs of seeking treatment at St. Jude's for neuroblastoma
  • Students wanting to change their major or unsure of which one to declare are invited to attend the Vision Group. Hosted by Counseling Services, the group will be led by a professional counselor and will have many tools available to them as they discuss their choices. The group will meet April 2, 9 and 16 from 4-5:30 p.m. in Keeny Hall, Room 310.
  • Just a reminder to sign up for the Emergency Notification System. The system will e-mail you, call you or text you (whichever you sign up for) in the case of a campus emergency. Sign up through your B.O.S.S. account.

Well, that's all I have right now. Have a great weekend!

It's Tuesday night..

Just a heads up, there will be no Tech Talk coming out this Thursday because our schedule was thrown one with Easter Break. Don't worry, we are already working on the April 3 issue, and it is promising some really solid stuff. Plus, even the newsroom needs a few days off.

Anyway..
  • Tyler Read will be at Rabb's Steakhouse Thursday night starting at 10 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door.
  • Here's an article all you breakfast skippers (including me) should read.
  • Remember to buy those Spring Concert tickets from Union Board.

Enjoy the short week.
And don't you think it's unfair that MWF classes got Friday and Monday off, when TR classes didn't? Just a thought.
